Council Election 2006
Date: 14 September 2006 Message from Mr Ronan Quirke, MPSI, President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland in regard to the forthcoming Council election:
This year nine candidates have put their names forward for election to the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland. This remains a critical time for the profession with the imminent arrival of new legislation. I am heartened that members of the Society are willing to stand for election and serve on Council if elected.
I would implore members of the profession to vote in the forth coming election. It is imperative that a high number of ballot papers are returned in order for the whole profession to have a degree of ownership over the issues that Council will face in the coming months.
Ballot papers will be issued shortly and must be received by the Registrar and Secretary by 10am on Monday, October 2nd 2006.
I again urge all members to exercise their right to vote and I take this opportunity to wish all nine candidates well in the election.
Ronan Quirke MPSI
